Unlike sprouts, Microgreens are the product of seeds that are planted in soil in open trays in greenhouses for 1-3 weeks in ambient air temperature, low humidity and high-light conditions. Although slightly subtler, microgreens have the same flavor profile as their fully grown big brothers, be they root crops or leafy crops; radish microgreen are spicy and taste like radishes, broccoli microgreens taste like broccoli florets, and so on. Microgreens have recently been proven by University of Maryland scientists to contain 4-6 times the nutrients of their mature counterparts. Go Micro!
